Episode 1: Shirley Dowell Pouncey
Shirley Pouncey, nee Dowell, is a born-and-raised Eurekan who shares her story about growing up in Dairy Hollow with her parents, four siblings, and many relatives close by. In this interview for the Eureka Springs Oral History Project, Shirley talks about her time waitressing in restaurants in downtown Eureka Springs, how the downtown landscape has evolved over the years, and what it was like raising children in town.
